Jane Can Do Announces #HireHer 2026 On 21st March at Goethe-Institut

JANE CAN DO RETURNS FOR 3RD EDITION OF HIRE HER: Ghana's Premier Creative Expo for African Women, March 2026

ACCRA, GHANA — Jane Can Do, the organisation building Africa’s largest database of women in the creative and tech sectors, in partnership with Goethe-Institut Ghana is proud to announce the return of its flagship annual event, the Hire Her Creative & Tech Expo, for a third consecutive year.

Taking place on 21 March 2026 at the Goethe-Institut in Accra, the expo is a free, full-day celebration of Ghanaian and African women creatives, entrepreneurs, and professionals across the cultural and innovation industries.

Following a landmark second edition in 2025, which attracted over 300 participants, featured 54 women in practical masterclasses led by 6 female experts, and showcased businesses across 11 different creative industry sectors, Hire Her 2026 promises to be bigger, bolder, and more impactful than ever.

Despite UNESCO estimates placing women at 53.2% of Africa’s creator economy, hiring practices within the creative and cultural industries continue to lack gender sensitivity, and companies routinely struggle to find and attract qualified female candidates.

Ghana’s arts and culture sector alone is estimated to contribute around 2.5% to the country’s GDP, with the audiovisual space employing approximately 5 million people, yet women remain systemically underrepresented at decision-making and income-earning levels.

Jane Can Do exists to change that, offering the largest curated gathering of Ghanaian women creatives, categorised by expertise and industry, where professionals can be hired for projects, swap services, collaborate, and grow.

The heart of Hire Her is its trade show, bringing together women entrepreneurs, women-run and women-owned businesses, and freelancers from across sectors to showcase their work and the services they offer.

Jane Can Do invites all women-owned businesses to apply to set up a booth.

Hire Her 2026 is a free-entry event, open to all.
